Drachenburg castle in Germany.

The owner is the "Schloss Drachenburg gGmbH", a charitable company.
The Drachenburg is basically a tourist attraction with guided tours, but they also offer special events, and they are used as location for films and shows.

This was bulit in the 1800's and is more of a stately home made to look like a castle than an actual fortified castle.

The German language has "Schloss", wich Drachenburg is, wich is a lightly fortified fancy mansion, a ruler would've lived there in times of peace, and "Burg", which is a fortress with added living space, mainly a military fortification that could house the royalty in times of war.

There is a wonderful Christmas market up there in December.
Another fun thing to do there is a guided tour at night with some spooky stories and effects.

There are no bridges, one has to use the ferry.

And the steep rise on the left side on the picture leads to the Castled Crag of Drachenfels, the other tourist attraction here.
